Master of Education in
PK-12 Education In cooperation with Distance Education, the M.Ed. in PK-12 Education Leadership will be offered as an on-line program beginning January 2009. The Master of Education Degree requires the completion of a minimum of 39 semester hours of course work. The master’s degree prepares those wanting to enter administrative positions in PK-12 educational settings. The on-line M.Ed. will be offered to a cohort of students The UNLV master’s program integrates coursework with practical field experience. Participants can expect to complete over 200 hours of field-based work directly connected to the responsibilities of school leaders. UNLV’s Department of Educational Leadership is accredited by the Educational Leadership Licensing Consortium and bases its curriculum on national standards for educational leadership preparation, the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium (ISLLC). Note: Out of state students registering for Distance Education courses receive discounted tuition from the normal out-of-state rate. GRAD STUDENTS need to contact our office 702-895-0334 to be registered for DE classes after they have been admitted to receive this discount. |
